CPRIT is pleased to join other organizations in Texas and around the country in adopting the CEO Cancer Gold Standard™ of demonstrating a commitment to improve the health and lives of our employees and their family members by maintaining a culture that fosters healthy lifestyles and provides support when a diagnosis of cancer becomes a reality.
CEO Roundtable on Cancer
The CEO Roundtable on Cancer was founded in 2001, when former President George H.W. Bush challenged a group of executives to "do something bold and venturesome about cancer within your own corporate families." The CEOs responded by creating and encouraging the widespread adoption of the CEO Cancer Gold Standard™ which calls for organizations to evaluate their health benefits and workplace culture and take extensive, concrete actions in five key areas of health and wellness to fight cancer in the workplace. Today, the CEO Roundtable on Cancer remains committed to fulfilling this challenge in considering the health of their employees and in making progress in the war against cancer.
