CPRIT has invested more than $2.4 billion in cancer research and prevention across the state, positioning CPRIT as the second largest source of public funding. The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, the recipient of nearly $450 million in CPRIT grants, recently produced a video how CPRIT has impacted cancer research, prevention and care at their institution. The video showcases the innovative work of CPRIT grantees Dr. Cullen Taniguchi, Dr. Shine Chang, Dr. Kathleen Schmeler, Dr. Swathi Arur and Dr. Christopher Flowers, and includes the testimony on CPRIT's crucial role in making important breakthroughs, recruiting talent and making a difference in patients’ lives from MD Anderson President Dr. Peter Pisters, Nobel Laureate Dr. James Allison, and Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Giulio Draetta.
