Summary of Goals and Objectives |
Pancreatic cancer (PDAC) is the fourth leading cause of cancer deaths and is rising in this category, despite significant progress. This prognosis makes these tumors a public health problem as well as a constant challenge for doctors who treat this aggressive disease. During my surgical training I operated on PDAC patients and from these experiences decided to become a physician-scientist in an effort to find novel therapeutic strategies directed towards this disease.
