In recent years, there have been significant improvements in treating breast cancer. However, dealing with cases where the cancer spreads to the brain remains a big challenge. For people with a type of breast cancer called triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) that spreads to the brain, the average survival time is only about 3-4 months, which is much shorter than for other types of breast cancer. The main treatment for this type of cancer is chemotherapy, which can be effective but also has side effects.
