Lay Summary |
In recent work, we proposed a new classification of aggressive pediatric liver cancer that is curable but requires an alternative aggressive treatment that is not common today. We hypothesized that tumors of these patients include subclones with unique molecular signatures that can be cataloged and identified at diagnosis. Here, we propose to study the biology and outcomes of these patients and their cancers on a greater scale than ever attempted before to understand their etiology and to better tailor therapeutics for these patients and improve their outcomes. While our study focuses on pediatric liver cancers, our resulting framework will help improve outcomes and advance personalized medi... |
