Dr. Amit is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he trained. He has published over 90 papers, mostly first authored, including articles in Nature, Nature Medicine, JNCI, and J Clin Oncol. His postdoctoral studies combined cancer biology, neuroscience, and cancer immunology to build a comprehensive research platform that includes in vivo immunobiology and human cancer neurobiology models to identify the mechanisms of immune plasticity in driving cancer, particularly squamous cell carcinoma.
