Summary of Goals and Objectives |
My primary goal is to develop a program of research focused on methods for implementing routine symptom monitoring and management in cancer care using PRO measures. The research outlined in this proposal is designed to improve patient-clinician symptom-related communication by developing reliable and valid disease- and symptom-specific PRO measures (the patient-level), developing PRO measure resources for clinicians (the clinician-level), and utilizing implementation science to address organization-level barriers to incorporating PRO measures into routine symptom monitoring and management in cancer care (the organization-level).
