Yun (Nancy) Huang, PhD, is an assistant professor at Texas A&M University Institute of Biosciences and Technology. Her research interests include understanding the role of epigenetic modifications in health and disease. Before coming to Texas A&M, she focused on the molecular mechanisms underlying calcium sensing in mammalian cells, as well as the DNA methylation and demethylation processes in stem cells and cancer cells.  Dr. Huang is the principal investigator on grants from the National Institutes of Health, the John S. Dunn Foundation, and the American Cancer Society. Dr. Huang was selected as a Scientist to Watch by the Scientist Magazine. She also sits on the editorial board of Blood and is the recipient of the Rising Star Award from the American Medical Professional Foundation. She received her medical degree from Zhejiang University School of Medicine and her doctorate in biochemistry from Georgia State University. She completed postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard Medical School and La Jolla Institute for Immunology.
